Material Stream Icons

The bilingual material stream iconography was developed to raise awareness of the materials that can be recycled and encourage households to actively participate in their local recycling services.

The icons were designed to support the national Wales Recycles campaign branding and provide a consistent look and feel across recycling communications. Different options are available for the icons so they can be tailored to best suit the target audience and the circumstances.

The icons provide a set of practical signposts that show what can be recycled and can be used in many applications including: local authority communications, signage at recycling bring sites, at recycling centres, on recycling containers and product packaging.
