Useful websites

  • Local Authority Waste and Recycling Information Portal. This Portal provides access to data on local authority recycling and waste services in the UK, including performance benchmarks for kerbside dry recycling, organic and residual waste collections. It also allows local authorities to update scheme information, which links through to Wales Recycles’ Recycling Locator (mentioned below). WRAP Cymru’s Collaborative Change Programme (CCP) team manages the information presented here on behalf of authorities in Wales.
  • Wales Recycles’ Recycling Locator. This online search facility allows citizens to find out what they can recycle at home or in their local area. The information presented reflects the scheme information saved on the Local Authority Waste and Recycling Information Portal (mentioned above).
  • My Recycling Wales. This website allows citizens to browse Welsh local authorities and see what happens to their waste across the UK, and even around the world.
  • Collections Blueprint: Best Practice in High Diversion. This website holds case studies that illustrate how, through adoption of Welsh Government’s Collections Blueprint, local authorities are achieving greater consistency of service across Wales and delivering on the ambitious targets set out in Welsh Government’s 'Beyond recycling' strategy.
