Summary

As the world economy moves towards more sustainable product solutions, companies are understandably keen to tap into these emerging markets.

But upscaling production to satisfy global demand requires both time and money – necessary resources that are not always readily available.

This case study demonstrates how investment from the Welsh Government funded Circular Economy Fund (CEF) empowered a company to speed their growth into the global market while increasing their output of sustainable, recycled products, and reducing their overall carbon footprint.

Key Facts

Receiving financial support from the Welsh Government through WRAP Cymru’s Circular Economy Fund allowed Heathpak to expand their production, which will result in

• The increased use of 12,000 tonnes of recycled paper
• The creation of six new permanent full-time, or full time-equivalent, jobs
• 26,508 tonnes of CO2 equivalent savings
• A significant increase in revenue
