WRAP Cymru has developed this user-friendly Circular Materials Mapping Tool for Wales – a useful resource for Welsh stakeholders across the plastics and paper value chain.

It provides an interactive, visual representation of the extent of Wales’ plastics and paper sectors, plotting business locations and helping to identify where there are clusters.

Users can:

  • Search by company type
  • Search for a specific company name
  • Explore the number of businesses in each local authority
  • Explore the tonnage and type of material handled at each site
  • Explore sites by their permit type

The tool is intended to help support greater collaboration between the many businesses that make up Wales’ plastics and paper sectors. It provides businesses with the opportunity to further enhance their understanding of the wider Welsh materials sector.

If you have any queries about the tool or would like to add (or update) the details of your business in the Mapping Tool please contact us at Resources.Wales@wrap.org.uk.

If you are unable to view the Mapping Tool below in your current browser it can alternatively be accessed using this link

If you would like to extend your search beyond Wales, the UK Circular Plastics Network has produced a complementary landscape map covering the whole of the UK. It also includes Academic Institutions and Research & Technology Organisations (RTOs). The link to that landscape map is here.

Funded by the Welsh Government, the Circular Materials Mapping Tool has been developed by WRAP Cymru with support from Resilience Sustainable Solutions and Green Edge Applications Limited.

The Map is intended to help support greater collaboration between the many businesses that make up Wales’ plastics and paper sectors. It provides businesses with the opportunity to further enhance their understanding of the plastics and paper industries with the overarching aim of creating a more circular Wales.
