Towards a Universal Culture of Repair and Re-use in Wales: Consultation is now open
We need your views, ideas, challenges and suggestions on what steps need to be taken by all Welsh residents, businesses and organisations to become a universal culture of repair and re-use.
WRAP Cymru's work in Wales, funded by the Welsh Government, is crucial for promoting sustainability and mitigating climate change. By focusing on repair and re-use we are actively contributing to the development of a circular economy. This approach helps to reduce waste and minimize the environmental impact associated with production and consumption.
The circular economy aims to design out waste and pollution, keep products and materials in use, and regenerate natural systems. By providing valuable research and insight, and encouraging repair and re-use, WRAP Cymru is playing a significant role in achieving these goals.
Promoting waste prevention and supporting initiatives that increase re-use and recycling conserves valuable resources and reduces the carbon footprint of the products we consume. This helps the global effort to combat climate change and work towards a more sustainable future.
WRAP Cymru support for re-use and repair includes:
- Mapping the re-use and repair sector in Wales
- Providing evidence for the development of policy and initiatives to increase reuse and repair
- Guidance
- Case studies
- Events.
